Hosting and support from a team you can actually reach
The boring-but-critical bits, handled. Hosting, SSL, backups, monitoring, patches and a real person on the other end of the chat.
01 / The unglamorous stuff
Hosting is most of the job, even when it feels invisible
Picture a café owner in Bristol whose website was built three years ago for £900. It still works, just about. But the hosting bill arrives once a year from a company nobody at the café has ever spoken to, the SSL certificate expired on a Sunday last August, and the site goes offline for an hour every Tuesday morning for reasons nobody can explain. None of this is a design problem. It is a hosting and support problem.
Most of the work in keeping a website healthy is invisible. Hosting that does not fall over. Backups that actually run. SSL that renews itself. Security patches that ship without breaking the site. A monitoring stack that catches problems before customers do. Done well, you never notice any of it.
We bundle hosting and support into the monthly plan because separating them is what causes the problem in the first place. One bill, one team, one phone number when something goes wrong, and the boring bits are no longer your problem.
02 / What is included
Six things you stop thinking about
None of this is exciting. All of it matters when something goes wrong at the worst possible time.
Fast hosting on edge networks
Static pages cached close to your visitors so first load is well under two seconds anywhere in the UK. Same hosting stack the big tech companies use, configured for small business sites instead of social networks.
SSL that renews itself
HTTPS out of the box, certificate renewed automatically before it expires, no more Saturday morning panic when the padlock turns into a red triangle. You will never see an SSL renewal invoice from us.
Daily backups, kept for thirty days
Every change to your site is backed up daily. If anything goes wrong, we roll back to yesterday or last week with a single command. Backups are stored separately from the live site so a disaster on one does not take out the other.
Uptime monitoring you do not have to set up
We watch the site from multiple locations every minute. If it goes down we know before you do, usually before any of your customers do, and we are already fixing it by the time anyone notices.
Security patches in the background
No theme updates to chase, no plugin breaking after a forced upgrade, no admin panel for a hacker to find. The whole stack is maintained quietly so you never have to think about WordPress vulnerabilities ever again.
A real person on the other end
When you need a change, a question answered, or a hand sorting something out, you message a person in UK hours. Not a ticket queue, not a chatbot, not a form that promises a reply within 48 hours.
03 / How it runs
Hosted, monitored, backed up, updated
We host the site
You do not pick a host, configure a server, or buy an SSL certificate. We do all of it as part of the monthly plan and the URL points where it should from day one.
We monitor it
Uptime checks from multiple locations, performance checks weekly, and an alert into our Slack the second anything looks wrong. You are usually unaware that anything happened.
We back it up
Daily backups, thirty day retention, stored in a separate region from the live site. If we ever need to roll back, we can do it in minutes.
We update it on request
Need a change? Drop a message in the portal. We make the update in UK hours and ping you when it is live. No CMS, no plugins, no surprises.
FAQ
Common questions
Is hosting included in the monthly plan?
Yes. Hosting, SSL, daily backups, uptime monitoring, security patches and ongoing changes are all part of the standard £79/month plan. You will never get a separate invoice from a hosting company because we are the hosting company too.
Where is the site actually hosted?
On modern edge infrastructure with UK presence. We do not name the underlying provider on this page because we sometimes change it as the technology improves. The point is that you do not have to think about it. The site loads fast, stays up, and renews automatically.
What happens if the site goes down?
We get an alert from our monitoring within roughly a minute. In most cases the issue is resolved before you or your customers notice. If something does require longer to fix, you hear from us with an honest update rather than from a customer telling you the site is broken.
Can I get my own SSL certificate or use Cloudflare?
If there is a specific reason, sure, we can layer Cloudflare or a custom certificate over the top. For most small business sites it is unnecessary because the stack already includes both. We will tell you whether the upgrade is worth doing or not.
Do you support email hosting too?
We can set up email forwarding from your domain to your existing inbox at no extra cost. For full email hosting we point you at Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 because they do it better than any web design studio could. We help with the setup either way.
What if I just want hosting and support, not a redesign?
That is unusual but possible. If you have a static site that we did not build but is in good shape, we can take over hosting and support for the standard monthly fee. If the site needs a rebuild before we can host it, we are honest about that on the call.
