Web design for therapists
Hand-built websites for UK therapists and counsellors. Calm, accredited, and confidential by default.
01 / Why therapy sites have to be different
Your website meets people on a hard day. Treat it like that.
People rarely arrive at a therapist's website in a calm browsing mood. They are tired, anxious, grieving, or trying to summon the courage to ask for help for the first time. A loud template covered in pop-ups and tracking pixels makes that moment harder. A calm, clear site makes it easier.
We build therapist websites that lead with compassion and clarity, surface your accreditation properly, and keep first contact private. Hosting, accessibility, security and ongoing changes are all in one flat monthly plan, so the site stays calm and current without you touching it.
02 / What you get
A site built for the people you actually want to help
Clarity, calm and confidentiality, doing the quiet work before the first call.
Calm, low-stimulation design
Soft palettes, generous spacing and quiet typography. The visual equivalent of a deep breath. People reach therapy sites at low moments, and the page should not add to the noise.
BACP, UKCP or BPS verification
Your accreditation, registration number and modality clearly displayed in the footer and About page. The first thing prospective clients verify before they enquire.
Modality and issue pages
One page per issue (anxiety, trauma, grief, relationships) and per modality (CBT, person-centred, EMDR, integrative). Each page lands the right Google search.
Confidential enquiry form
Form submissions go straight to your secure inbox over HTTPS, with no marketing pixels or third-party trackers loading on the contact page. Confidentiality starts before the first session.
Fees, sliding scale and concessions
Honest fee information up front, with concession or low-fee slot policies if you offer them. Prospects who cannot afford full fee thank you for the transparency.
Online and in-person session info
Clear pages for in-person, online and walking therapy if you offer them, with practical details on platform, location and accessibility.
03 / How it works
From first call to live site
Practice and tone
A short, gentle call to understand your modality, the issues you specialise in and the kind of client you want to attract. Tone of voice is decided here.
Pages and copy
We draft the homepage, About page, fees page and one page per issue or modality. You see the wording before any design work begins.
Build with care
We build the site, run accessibility checks, and double-check the privacy and confidentiality wording before any traffic touches it.
Live and gently maintained
We go live and update fees, availability and modality pages whenever you ask. No CMS for you to learn, no plugins to update.
FAQ
Common questions
Will the site meet BACP or UKCP ethical guidance on advertising?
Yes. Pages avoid claims you cannot back up, do not use misleading testimonials, and reference your registration with the appropriate body. If your professional body has specific advertising rules, we follow them word for word.
How private are the contact form submissions?
Forms post over HTTPS straight to your inbox or secure mailbox of choice. We do not load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or other marketing trackers on confidentiality-sensitive pages by default. The privacy notice spells this out clearly.
Can I have a separate page for each issue I work with?
Yes. One page per issue is the right move for therapists, both for compassion (clients want to feel seen) and for search (people look for 'EMDR therapist Manchester', not 'therapist'). We help you write each one without it feeling like a copy-paste job.
What about online therapy via Zoom or Teams?
We add a clear page explaining how online sessions work, what platform you use, what to expect, and how to prepare. Crucial for first-time clients who are nervous about the format itself.
Should I list my fees?
Almost always yes. Hidden fees create anxiety in the very people who already arrive anxious. Even a simple 'sessions are £X, with a small number of low-fee slots' is kinder than a 'contact us for prices' wall.
Can I take bookings online?
We do not push booking widgets on therapy sites by default because the first contact often benefits from a human exchange. If you want a booking system for established clients, we connect Acuity or similar.
