Free website audit, no sales pitch

Send us your URL. Two business days later you get a short, honest write-up of what is working, what is not, and what to fix first.

01 / What you actually get

A useful document, not a sales prop

Most free website audits are a thinly disguised sales call. You hand over your URL and your phone number, get a forty-page PDF with red flags on every page, then a sales rep rings you the next morning. We hated being on the receiving end of that, so we built ours differently.

Our audit is short, manual, and prioritised. A real person spends a real hour on your site, runs it through the performance and SEO checks that matter for small businesses, and writes up the three to ten things worth fixing. You read it, do whatever you like with it, and never hear from us unless you ask.

It is the same audit we run before we quote a redesign, which is why we are happy to send it for free. If the analysis lands and you decide you want a hand putting it into action, we are here. If not, you have a useful document for nothing.

02 / What the audit covers

Six areas, prioritised

We look at the things that matter for small business websites and ignore the things that do not.

Mobile speed and performance

We run your site through real device tests, not just the green Lighthouse score. Time to first byte, largest contentful paint, layout shift, and how it actually feels on a mid-range phone in patchy 4G. The numbers come with plain-English notes.

First impression and offer clarity

We open the homepage cold, set a stopwatch for five seconds, and tell you what we worked out about your business in that time. If a stranger cannot tell what you sell, who you sell to and what to do next, the rest of the site is fighting an uphill battle.

Calls to action and contact flow

How easy is it to actually book, buy or enquire? We test the contact form, the phone link, the booking flow on a real phone. We tell you where it loses people and what to fix first.

Trust signals and proof

Reviews visible? Real names attached? Qualifications and accreditations on the right pages? Where you are based, who you serve, how long you have been doing it. Trust is built or lost on these details.

Search basics

Page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, sitemap, schema markup, indexability, broken links. Not a 200-page SEO report, just the basics that move the needle for a small business and the ones you are missing.

What to fix first

The audit ends with a short prioritised list. The three things that would make the biggest difference, what each one would take, and what is fine to leave alone. No 87-item action plan that nobody is going to read.

03 / How it works

URL in, audit out

01

Send the URL

Drop your website link in the contact form. No phone number, no business size dropdown, no marketing questions. Just the URL.

02

We run the audit

Within two business days we go through the site by hand and run it through our usual battery of performance and SEO checks.

03

You get the write-up

A short PDF or a Loom video walk-through, your choice. Plain English, prioritised list, no upsell baked into every section.

04

Do whatever you like with it

Fix it yourself, give it to your current developer, ignore it, or come back to us. There is no follow-up sales call unless you ask for one.

FAQ

Common questions

Is this really free or do I have to book a sales call?

Genuinely free, no sales call required. We send the audit, you read it, end of obligation. If you want to talk afterwards we are happy to, but the audit lands in your inbox without a calendar invitation attached.

Why give it away?

Because it is the fastest way for both of us to find out if we should work together. If the audit lands and you think the analysis is sharp, you might come back when you need a redesign. If not, you have a useful document for free. Either way it is a low-risk first step.

How long does the audit take to come back?

Two business days is the target, sometimes faster. We do not run automated PDF generators, so it takes a real human a real hour to look at your site properly. That is also why we cap how many we run a week.

What if my site is built on Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?

Audit works the same. We can usually tell you what the underlying platform is making harder, but the analysis is about the visitor experience and the search basics, not the technology underneath.

Will the audit tell me to use you?

Some of the recommendations might suit a subscription web design model, some might be a five minute fix you can do yourself this afternoon. We say which is which. If your site mostly needs a small tweak, we tell you that.

How many fixes can I expect to find?

Usually three to ten things worth doing, ranked. We deliberately do not list every minor issue because long lists do not get acted on. The point of the audit is to give you the few changes that would actually move the needle, not to fill a report template.
